17:30 and not far from Llanberis, he is looking OK.
Looks like he's completed the PBR in about 23:40.
And has set off for the Lakes after 4 hours rest.
Impressive stuff!
My wife Anne supported Mike Hartley on the PBR on his 3 rounds (Mike went from north to south) and said he was dead on his feet - completely not with it, falling asleep as he walked..
This guy's cycle up to Scotland after doing 2 rounds is bonkers! Respect though!!
So actual times would be something like this.
Stage.....................................Expected
start.....................................04:00 Wed
PBR - 20h:10m.............................04:00 Thur Actual just under 24hrs
Rest - 03:10..............................07:00 Thur Actual set off 08:30
keswick - 12:10...........................19:00 Thur
BGR - 20:05...............................15:00 Frid
Rest - 00:15..............................15:15 Frid
Glen Nevis 13:00..........................04:15 Sat
Rest - 03:10..............................07:30 Sat
CRR - 22:00...............................05:30 Sun
Noticed he’s managed a massive stretch around Preston without GPS tracking. What’s gone on here? He was a fair bit down on his schedule, so has he had a lift to try and get back closer to it to start the BGR during tonight?
Noted: didn’t realise you could get time by clicking on the dot. He’s at Threkeld, about 14 hours behind his schedule.
What happened with this?
He completed the BGR in just under 24 hours, had a sleep for a few hours, started the cycle up towards Glen Nevis, but quite quickly called it a day as he felt unsafe on the bike ( falling asleep ).
So, 2 sub-24 hour rounds and a 170-odd mile cycle all in terrible weather - not a bad wee outing :-)
Very true, well done.
