A morton's neuroma
Last year I was having pain in the middle part of the ball of my right foot, which started and got progressively worse when I got to 8 or 9 miles and then it became so it was painful all the time. It feels like a hard pea.
Finally saw my doc and was referred to an orthopaedic surgeon. They have diagnosed a Morton's Neuroma (a thickening of a nerve) and the pain has been managed with steroid injections. I am having an operation next Friday to get rid of it. Just wondering if anyone else has had this done and if so can you let me know what to expect eg: how long before running again etc..
Cheers.
