I thought Nasri was excellent today and Kompany as well. Hard luck to Liverpool as City and Liverpool were the stand out entertainment teams in the Premier League this season.
Well done to Danbert and City. I'm a lifelong Liverpool supporter, but there can't be any serious complaints. We've had a great run over the last 3 months and played some fantastic football, but City have done so too and been that little bit more consistent across the full season.
PS I know it's hard luck on Stevie G, but at least he can look forward to winning a trophy over the summer.....
{NOT SURE WHICH EMOTICON TO CHOOSE}
Come on you Rams
15 years ago Bristol Rovers drew with Man City twice in the 2nd division, they have gone their separate ways since then
Wem-bur-leeeeeeeeeeey:D
I,m another Liverpool supporter and i agree with you. Well done city you deserved it and you have a manager who has dignity. I have not heard making him excuses or blaming ref's when the results went against them.
Congratulations to Liverpool for playing attacking football and contributing to an enthralling run-in.
If we can´t overhaul the rags title haul (unlikely but you never know!) I certainly hope you do
Ashley Cole, a sad loss for the England team:D
Aston Villa up for sale. We've got a few quid invested with Legal & General that could be released. Blencathra or Villa, tough choice
No chance... Pulis and Rodgers did better jobs.. tbf to pelligrini he's done well and been professional, made them less of a joke club.. but the title was the minimal with the previous 5 years investment..
Poyet, Pulis and Rodgers have been the best, also Bruce has done a good job although they tailed off.. But Liverpool also had issues, just conceded too many, so far me Pulis as MOTY..
How did Rodgers do "a better job"? Got Liverpool to the top of the league and then failed to set his team up properly against Chelsea and chucked it away? Shipped 3 goals against Palace? Yeah, Liverpool played some great football, but their defensive issues cost them the league and that's on the manager's hands.
Poyet and Pullis both did tremendous jobs, fair enough. I wouldn't be disappointed to see either of them win it. But of the 'big' managers ol' Manuel did the best job: he won the league. And wasn't a tosser whilst doing it.
Danbert as a 'Rag' i'm glad you won the title & not the Dippers. At the end of the day you are still 16 titles behind us whereas if they'd won our lead would only be 1. We are still the biggest & most successful team in England, why would we want to lose that moniker. It's also been proven that the $$ clubs, Blackburn & Chelsea don't go on to dominate.
Rodgers took a team from 7th, full of supposedly average players, and took them to the brink of the title.. Pelligrini took a team who were champions a season before, 2nd last season, and just won with a decent points total., but didnt walk it.
I agree Rodgers made errors but he's still taken Liverpool on great strides.
A team that scores 100 goals in a season should be the champions but a team that lets in 50 will never be. Is it down to bad defending or the system that Rodgers uses? We will find out next season. It's been a great season for us, Rodgers has done a fantastic job and i feel proud to be a dipper. As for united you are in for few years in the wilderness you need to bring in nearly a whole team Moyes spent £60 million on two players so how much are you going pay out to rebuild the team. You have no manager If you are waiting the dutch manager who going to choose the new players. United are over £500 million in debt and rising. The glazers have been lining their own pockets so how much are they going to lay out? Will they sell out to the Arabs. Liverpool have a lot of young players out on loan it will be interesting to see how they have progressed also we have good youngsters 16 and 17 playing for the under 21's it's looking good for us.
.
Codswallop... you went from 7th to 2nd with very few changes.. I'm gobsmacked when I see Liverpool fans make that statement when you see how you went from exactly the same position...
We have good youth.. De gea, Januzaj, Evans, Jones, Smalling, Shaw supposedly coming in, Rafael, so the back sound but we'll bring in another center half, add a midfielder and I'm not too concerned.. spouting rubbish like we need a new team is just nonsensical and has never been United's way.
Check your facts re the business.. it remains one of the healthiest in the league.. 150 million profit this season, new kit deal coming, certainly way off 500 million but hey keep reading the liverpool forums...
The base business is still very successful and turns a good profit..

Youth wise.. http://www.tribalfootball.com/articl...1#.U3EnVEJ4ZHI
We're pretty healthy, we've always encouraged youth, developed and bought and developed, thats showing no sign of abating..
Rio Ferdinand to leave United, luckily they have Chris Smalling to fall back on:D:D:D
Rooney, Welbeck, Smalling and Jones all going to Rio.
Rio is just going!
I think its the right call... I've a feeling he wasn't a great influence this year.
We need a new center half but think with Evans, Smalling and Jones we're OK if we can just bring in one solid older player.
Not sure on the England center halfs.. tbh without Smalling there's a lack of pace and Jones is injury prone.. But Jags and Cahill will be first choice.... I also worry we'll be a bit like Liverpool with full backs dashing up.. Johnson's good but defensively he goes missing...
(trying to get the attention away from us....)
No cleverly either.. bloody joke!
It is nice that the non-profit, "grow all their own players" clubs, like United have such reasonable fans willing to share their thoughts with us.
You're in the process of making a 27 million bid for Shaw, a left back will plays alongside a 18 million Centre Back (Jones) who partners a 30 million Centre Back (Ferdinand) and a 10 million Right Back (Smalling) who play in front of a 18 million keeper.
Then you have the 24 million Carrick and 27 million Fellani as protection with 18 million Valencia and 24 million Nani on the wings and up front you have 30 million Rooney and a choice of 37 million Mata or 24 million Van Persie to choose from.
And that's just your 'joke' of a current team.
And you have the cheek to mention money and us:mad:
I like the look of the England squad. Great to see the youngsters in who won't hav that fear of losing I think many of our more recent players have had.
I don't worry about Smalling and Jones in this environment. I think they are actually better suited to international football than the Premier League.
Hart
Johnson, Jagielka, Smalling, Shaw
Gerrard
Lalana Wilshere or Barclay Stirling
Rooney
Sturridge
would be my 11 at the moment with lots of options as backup.
Ferdinand has gone.
Rafael is first choice right back
Carrick was £18m
Valencia was £16m
Nani was £14m
United have had a youth team player in every game since 1937.
Read that again.
And again.
Man City would have been relegated this season if only goals by English players counted: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/foo...er-League.html
