You know what - FIFA changed the rules as a conseqence. The pass back rule for one. Bayern showed last night the way to play against flair teams. Chelsea were a disgrace and I hope they get their chicken shit asses kicked big style in the final by our German friends. If England approach games in the Euros like Chelsea did, and I fear we will, we are in for one serious thumping and the first plane back. As for JT.........
Tad harsh.. not many teams beat Barca.. they came up with a system it worked.. Bayern lost last night and won last week.. Chelsea drew and won..
I hope we don't play like them, but they knew they were desperately outclassed and fought and strangled the game.. United have used grinding out stale 1-0 wins time and time again.. its why we are still in the title race.. we win when we aren't playing well, like after the derby mauling.. its just about being in contention come trophy time..
I'd rather be like that than Spurs.. we all love watching them.. but we all love a loser..

His Liverpool tenure was doomed from the start because Dalglish had already put himself forward for the job when asked to help drafting a shortlist. His time at Inter and with Switzerland shows he can do the job.
Hodgson is the second most successful British manager over the last 30 years and a good appointment I reckon. Much better than Redknapp anyway.

Interesting to see that it looks like Roy Hodgson's a shoe in now for the England job.
I never fancied Redknapp as England manager. Always been too much of a horse trader for me and rates players too highly who only play well sporadically - Van der Vaart being a prime example.
I also like the choice of Hodgson as I'm sure he won't be frightened of leaving players out of the squad who are out of form, who may get in on reputation. Gerrard, Downing are prime examples and as they're Liverpool, I'm sure he won't do them any favours.
He has tournament experience, international experience, he seems pretty well qualified.
