Dunno but the same would apply to City. Most people I know are reds but I live in the nicer, friendlier South side of the City so not sure if this applies in the cold North.

Chitty was trying it back on in the 70's and 80's that they had more fans in Manchester than united. After seeing chitty attendance and not been from Manchester I used to think it must be a small town.
not looking good for the reds...2-0 down at moment..
Dire from shan utd, rvp doesn't look interested, rooney way off the pace, young playing himself out of world cup squad, rio having a mare - Utd season finished before Spring has sprung
It's February and United literally have nothing left to play for. Nothing.
We're 2-0 down at half time... theres plenty to play for.
We were awful today though, no idea why he left smalling on, should have put Valencia back. Smalling isnt a full back. he's a decent enough center half but not confident on the ball.
We played better once rooney dropped deep. RVP looks a shadow.
Plenty of concerns but the main thing was just being out muscled. The germans were laughing at how week we were. TBF Young was probably our best man, the only one with any real energy in the game.
Still I think we can turn it around, 2-0 is far from all over.
I can see moyes been sacked soon, possibly after the dippers have thumped us and dumping out of Europe. How they or why they gave him a six year contract when we could have had Jose is beyond me.
I know Olympiakos are not Barcelona, but have you seen their form this year: http://espnfc.com/tables/_/league/gr...league?cc=5739
Winning is a habit, even against some pretty ropy teams. This was a big ask for Man Utd.
See, if he has the squad then yes. At least 2 full seasons and see from there. However if we finish 6th or 7th then I'm not sure he'll stay, but he has been backed, but we need a centre mid and centre half.
We were awful not defending them.
The RVP situation is disgusting. A dutch journalist was on 5 live yesterday and he was flabbergasted at what RVP said about running into space.. he said the interview in dutch did not say that, he just said for Holland he can drop to the number 10 spot when he has no luck up front.. but at United Rooney is there.. but thinks he's there to retire.
Still defending the useless bastard I see Iain. At the moment it feels like he'll have to die of old age before we get rid of him, the reality is that in a couple of years when he's back in his zone managing f*cking Stoke or Wigan, with his miserable little chart and his f*cking crayons, what's happening at the minute might at least seem like a vaguely amusing memory rather than the bastard nightmare it currently is. I used to think he was a decent bloke before the brains trust that is our board decided it would be a good idea to give him the keys to the kingdom in the same way that you know, it must have seemed like a good idea to sign Ashley Young once, but every time I see him and his big shit eating grin now I'm just filled with an uncontrollable rage and an urge to eat my ears so that I don't have to listen to his f*cking excuses anymore. GRRRRRRR
I don't think you will have that long to wait, once the dippers give us a drubbing and the exit out of the champions league he'll be gone. Bad news is we have missed out on the special one so we could have him. I feel the players should take some responsibility for the mess, carrick's media duties was as dreadful as his game.
I dont think I defended him, just dont want us to sack someone after 6 months. I've been critical but I think judge when its his team.
I think you will be waiting a little longer than that as fergie has his back and he has inherited a team that is not his own and not playing how he would like them to play... Fergie went a few year without winning anything and look how that turned out so have a little faith in your team and manager
the difference between Fergie and moyes is fergie was already a winner, he won the two horse title race with an unfashionable club and the cup winners cup in Europe. Moyes on the other hand hasn't won anything and I guess never will.
I also hold the players responsible for not playing for the manager. Rio is too busy tweeting and should have played his last game last Tuesday for that performance. Cleverly isn't good enough for utd. Young is usless. Valencia is hit and miss and RVP spits his dummy out when he can get himself off the treatment table.
I think fergie should hold his hands up too for his failure to maintain the midfield and parroting the greedy yanks line that there is no value in the transfer market. You don't treat a rolls Royce by running it into the ground and never checking the oil but that's exactly what fergie did.
Alan Pardew has always been a bit of a loose cannon on the touchline but his actions this afternoon, considering he was winning as well, might well finish his Newcastle career?
He could call Joey Barton as a character witness!

Former Newcastle midfielder Joey BartonJoin the debate at #bbcfootball "Seen Pardew incident. As per usual. Massively over-hyped...
"Got a lot of time for Pardew. Regardless of what I think, he is a top manager. One of the best I've worked with. Don't let a couple of stupid incidents detract from the job he has done at Newcastle. Especially with what goes on behind the scenes there."
That's a shame, just when I thought Joey was starting to talk sense
"QPR midfielder Joey Barton has blamed Sir Alex Ferguson for Manchester United's current troubles, claiming the legendary former manager should have departed Old Trafford five years ago." :D
Those two goals will hopefully be the moment our season has been waiting for. Maybe we can really push on from this and do something special this season now.
Enjoyable game to watch that. I have a lot of respect for Gus Poyet, he gets the most out of his teams. Some class goals by City though
Indeed Alf, well played the Mackems, I hope they stay up.
Tick tock . . .
