Re: Tonight's football thread
I'm not really worried by the Carlos situation
If it's a case of missing his daughters, then fine, who could deny a man the chance to see his little girls grow up ? So if that's the case, good luck mate and thanks for everything, oh and dont forget to say thank you to the club and fans on your way out the door.
If it's a case of more money, well then i have got news for you carlos, oil billionaires will NOT be held to ransom by a here today gone tomorrow footballer, so once again, cheers Carlos mate and good luck for the future, i hope it works out for you at your new club.
If it's a case of Tevez wanting rid of Mancini, well once again Carlos, Mancini IS the owners choice of manager and they can see the signs as we can that he is the man to bring the great times back to City, so if it comes down to a choice between the two of you, well there is only going to be one winner in that contest Carlos me old mucker. So once again good luck to you mate
And last but not least, City are now in the position to afford any striker in the world, so Carlos you can be replaced very soon me old mucker, so bye if that is what you really want.
So in conclusion i'm not worried what so ever about this because whatever way it works out-MANCHESTER CITY FOOTBALL CLUB,will go onwards and upwards to days of glory, the futures bright the futures BLUE.

My mum is making a banner calling Tevez a whore to hold up for the cameras next Monday. Apparently this, along with dressing up like special school pantomime villains and playing trick or treat at the player's home, is how classy, big-time supporters deal with such a situation...

I've been trying to find the thread where I was saying Roy Keane was a cr@p manager.
Unfortunately, I can't find it, so I don't know who it was who said he was still finding his feet, and that Ipswich finished last season off well, and that he'd probably take them up this season.
...Well, whoever it was, I appeal to your honesty and sense of fair play. I expect that person to acknowledge that Roy Keane was only a good manager if you (as the chairman) were involved in some Brewster's Millions-style "lose £8M in a few seasons" game.

If I had a new boss and decided not to work properly I'd be sacked. Hodgson is a good, honest manager who would have done well given the time. You dont manage as much as he has, without some standards. I think those players should hang their heads in shame.

Howard Webb's sons have confirmed he is not and never has been a Man Utd fan.
When questioned further his sons, Wayne, Eric, Ryan and Cristiano categorically refuted such a scandalous suggestion.:D

ha ha. I got that as a text message today. I also sent my Liverpool supporting mate a message to sarcastically ask if he enjoyed the match. He said no as it was "the usual 14 vs 10". I'll take that as a no then :D

Re: Tonight's football thread
Stagger, would like to welcome liverpool to the real world.
Now shut up moaning and learn to be now't but a run of the mill, middle of the table team.
That's what you are now.
Great History, piss poor team now.
Never mind you haven't done a Leeds yet.
But there's time.

That might be a slightly malicious comment, but it's very true. A lot of clubs have fallen from being very good to being OK (as Liverpool are now) and have found it very hard to find the way back up. The burden of expectation from the fans and the inability for the board not to keep sacking managers can really hinder them.
