I'm Really really struggling to come to terms with last nights defeat.
I suppose i got a bit caught up thinking about where we would be next year, playing champions league, signing top top stars winning trophies!
What i must say is that Mancini and Man City look like a match made in heaven though. He cares about what he is doing, wants to succeed and hopefully will be given the time by the chairman.
I truly believe if Mancini is given similar funds as to what Mr Hughes had, he would of delivered Champions League football this season and will surely do this next season.
Mancini and Man City will make history together.
Coming away from the ground last night I over heard more than a few people talking about wanting Mourinho, and i cant understand this rush to get rid of Bobby Manc, he has done nothing wrong, new club, new country, new league, loads of things to get used to quickly and he settled in straight away with class, composure and a belief in his managerial skills.Mancini gets my vote.
Roll on season 2010/11 and let the good times roll, 35 years and we're still here, always and forever
VOTE BOBBY MANC;)
I know it must be tough thinking you could have had champions league football. But 5th in the Premiership is a good season. Look at Spurs' squad, most people acknowledge it's better than the current Man City squad.
A few good signings in the summer, a half-decent run in the whatever they call the Uefa cup these days, and a push for top 4 next year would be fine. Rome wasn't built in a day - look at Man Utd.
By the way Danbert, I agree with you about Mancini - it'll be a disgrace if cITY sack him as he's not even had a full season.
I am obviously gloating at the moment but I wouldn't worry about it; it'll be your turn next week when Chelsea do a number on Wigan to win the Premier League.
If you do sack Mancini, surely Claude Anelka is the only option?
I don't know the Stats, and can't be bothered working them out, but I would imagine that Hughes points per game average is similar to Mancinis. Surely that would mean that if Hughes wasn't good enough, then Mancini also gets a red card.
Yeah, credit where credit is due Spurs played very well, King was amazing and at the end of the day they deserve fourth.
There is no point in feeling sorry for ourselves, we've got a decent team who put up a good fight last night, Johnson was amazing, there wasn't really a bad player on our team last night.
We've a great manager in Mancini, great owners, the resources to build a stronger team, a great stadium and great fans and all is not lost, Europa League isn't terrible, considering our last big history making match was when we were playing for promotion fifth spot.
Europa League next season and a squad of players we could only dream of having five or six years ago isn't too shabby!
When you put things in perspective last night wasn't really a failure at all!
