City need to just make sure they qualify before they start the banter :D
I suppose their paying the price for keeping a small, threadbare squad

Tick, tock . . .
It's a strange one. MCFC have spent the best part of 3/4 billion yet only have one league title to show for it, and a couple of minor trophies..
They've won the league once, it's hardly like this is a work in progress now! Who needs to go? MCFC are a sacking club so how long does Pellegrini have?
We are out of the title race for definite now.
On the plus side, one trophy won this season and Pellegrini has fought for the title so it isn't a bad first season.
Negredo desperately needs a goal and Nasri needs to be more consistent.
No chance, get a bit of perspective. There can only be one winning manager per season in the league & unlike you lot we don't believe we have a divine right to win it EVER regardless of money spent.
Having witnessed Mercer, Alison, Bond, Benson, McNeill, Frizzell, Machin, Kendall, Reid, Horton, Ball, Coppell, Neal, Royle, Keegan, Pearce, Sven, Hughes & Mancini and probably loads more that i've forgotten about believe me I'm pretty happy with Pellegrini. If we had a bit of luck which is required to win leagues/cups, we could have been looking at a double/treble/quadruple, so for me he ain't done badly in his first season.
We'll see...

So who are the Man U fans rooting for in the title race now? Chelsea?? Out of the three I'd rather Liverpool won....
Arsenal have defaulted to normal business unfortunately. I would have taken a cup and fourth at the start of the season - wouldn't be suprised if we lost to Hull mind
When the bin dippers win the Title Moyes should be executed at full time after the final home game.
Nothing too nasty - I had thought putting him in a sack & let 15-20 reds beat him to death with baseball bats - but just a hanging will suffice.
Shouldn't take too long to set up some temporary gallows where the trophy presentation thing would usually be.
Scraping a draw with a team planted at the bottom of the league and they're the highest paid sports team in the world: http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/27046221
It really is a funny old game.
you employed a manager who is the spanish Moyes... won nothing, good at backs against the wall under dog teams... but moyes is young pelligrini isn't..
we've never seen this sort of obscene spending in football.. the highest paid squad in history, the most expensive squad in history... which wins the odd cup...
also he screwed up, city did at the weekend, they had liverpool on the ropes, got it to 2-2.. United would have won 4-2.. City got nervous and sat back happy with 2-2... you deserved a point but it wasnt bad luck really.. tactically you just got it wrong.... its why pelligrini has to go..
I'd rather Liverpool win.
I'd like to underline that by saying I think that in general I find the Liverpool fans the most annoying in the country consistently over the last 30 odd years, so it isn't through any long-standing admiration.
I go off the type of football played.
I could see them progressing last year under Rodgers and calmed down (no pun intended) many Liverpool fans who were calling for his head after only a couple of months.
So as reward for a job well done, playing pretty good football with lots of pace, managing to get Gerrard playing again (as I thought he'd had it), bringing in some great young talent and letting them play, seeing the ability of Sturridge when many didn't, sticking it out with Suarez who will probably be player of the season....
I think Liverpool deserve the title on merit as things stand - even if I'm going to have to put up with all their cocky BS for another 12 months until the promoted Clarets knock them down to size :p
They do.. City or Chelsea should have won it, but Liverpool have been beyond themselves but also all their key players have performed.. Henderson has gone from being a joke to the best center mid apart from Toure.. they are less reliant on gerrard as well..
I think City may never recover from this set back.. Sheik will get fed up with pissing money down the drain.. the players haunted.. like Blackburn but worse and I they'll plummet down the leagues like Leeds.. tick tock..
THere's an interesting issue now re Arsenal and Hull. Hull will get European football as cup finalists even if they lose the final provided Arsenal finish fourth. One of the things that would seriously dent Arsenal finishing fourth is Hull beating Arsenal in the league on Sunday. Might Hull be tempted to 'not give 100%' in the league game I wonder???? :)
It's better to have a won the Premiere League and plummeted than never to have won the title at all.
I think Tennyson was a Blackburn fan.
I think he was a forest fan. We know plummeting as well as anyone :(
Wolves. I lived in Cannock as a boy.
None of this dilettante following of Man U. or Chelsea for me. Range Rover football supporters? Huh!
An anecdote: my father 18 months ago found his Wolves v Arsenal programme for the opening match at Molyneux September 1939: ie a few days before war was declared. It cost 2d.
I sold it for him on ebay.
It went for £357.
I suppose it might be the only copy in the world, although possibly there is one in an archive at Molyneux, but with the war and all, who knows?
Anyway, Wolves man and boy Andrew. No need to pass the canapés.
My dad has the programme for the first ever game played by Bradford City. From 1903 I think. A bloke gave it to my grandad in a pub in the 60s! It's in a shocking state and is only two pieces of paper. I'm hoping for another Bantam revival about the time my dad wants to sell it.
Vital point for Morecambe today with an equaliser in the 6th minute of injury time against top of the table Scunthorpe. Alf's boys seem to be doing their best to chuck away automatic promotion but hopefully they will do us a favour at Brizzle Rovers on Monday

Funny old game eh?
I was listening to the wireless the other day and they were saying "of course Liverpool will probably have to win all their remaining games to win the Premiership. What they had clearly forgotten (despite their many years' of punditry) was that the results from the last 4-5 games of every season are completely unpredictable! That's what's make's it so entertaining.
I believe it's customary to finish all posts on this thread with "tick tock".
Are Halifax Town the form team with 9 wins and a draw out of their last 10 matches?
Good to see Leeds back to winning ways and a 1/4 of the supporters at today's away game from Leeds.
Ex Morecambe player Lee Dodgson missed a late penalty for Lancaster vs Padiham yesterday to all but end their play off hopes, good lad
F**king hilarious :D:D:D Worst United team in living memory
Its the team which won the league at a canter 12 months ago...
We'll see.. shocked by welbeck.. United lad coming out saying 'I was this'.. Fergie would have shown him the door. Neville would play anywhere to get a shirt.
I thought we'd win today, best away record in the league, but looked awful. We lost almost all our crunch games, it'll be hard for Moyes to keep his job, I thought we'd walk 4th.

Any idea how long Suarez is out for?

Ian,
Indeed. I only really look at how Wolves are doing so what, in your opinion, are the 3/4 key things that have gone wrong, presumably mainly attributable to Moyes? Wrong player/positions selection? Poor team tactics? Poor motivational skills?
Graham
Everton looked a hundred times better organised than us today. We looked like we were winging it from the first minute.
I don't care if we had 95% possession - Jones to Smalling to Fletcher back to Jones means f**k all.
Will we do top 4 next season with Moyes? Not a chance and those of us hoping for a Liverpool collapse are kidding ourselves. They'll have money to invest, CL on offer and will be top 4 still.
I want Moyes to go now, and i want him to run over Welbeck's foot on his way out of the car park.
Welbeck's just one of those sort of players, beat the last man with a Zidane 360 and then balloon the resulting shot high and wide over the empty net. Maybe in a couple of years he won't finish like Ray Charles wearing clown shoes every other chance he gets but I wouldn't bet on it.
A horrendous Norwich side should have drawn today with the dippers.
Maybe it simply is destiny and is gonna happen no matter what but football wise there is a shock loss left in the dippers.
But they'd probably still get away with it looking at how meekly City and Chelsea are throwing points away.
Meh, let them have it. The Moyes misery is so strong that it overrides everything else, i've not even looked at the top 3 since December. we've been so dominant over the scousers for 25 yrs that its simply a freak season thanks to the freak in charge (Moyes).
Welcome to the real world.
United are shit and will remain so for a good number of years.
