11.48 miles, 3,432 feet, 3 hours 6 minutes: Low Sweden Bridge - Dove Crag - Scandale Pass - Red Screes. Left home at 7 am in fog; by Low Pike I was above an inversion. Best views for a long time. A much nicer temperature for running compared to recent days. Very few walkers about this early, though there were some other fell runners.

Yes, wore them today - 2XU Icex - supposedly help you to lose heat - I had finished by 10 am and was never too hot - nice breeze high up and often in the shade on the lower part of the return route.

11.91 miles, 3,543 feet, 3 hours 12 minutes: Wansfell Ridge - Kirkstone Inn - Red Screes. It has cooled down at last. Lots on the fells and on the roads. Overcast with intermittent refreshing light rain.

7.35 miles, 784 feet, 72 minutes: Skelwith Bridge - Drunken Duck route. Lovely and cool - in shorts again - not too many about except in Ambleside - traffic and pedestrians +++.

Mike T is holding this thread together... great stuff!

7.39 miles, 1,325 feet, 1 hour 32 minutes: Skelwith Fold - Skelwith Bridge - Loughrigg Tarn - Loughrigg Top. Refreshing light drizzle throughout - vest only. Town busy with both cars and people; nobody else on the fell. It is weeks since I was last on Loughrigg - some of the paths are unrecognisable because of the bracken - but I know they are there.
