I've just sent an entry to this - will be my first LDWA event but I've heard lots of good things. I'm just treating it as a long training run.

Well AR in your case it WAS a longER training run.

From your comments when you got back can I assume you won't be doing it again?

8.00 am start out of Kendal over Golf course - then to Crosthwaite [7miles] - then along Whitbarrow to trig/cairn - descent to Witherslack [14miles] - across the levels to Brigsteer -[18+ miles] and then up and across Scout/Helsington Barrows before the drop off into Kendal vie Gillingate & Dowkers Lane
