    Chew Valley Skyline

    Saddleworth are running the traditional Chew Valley Skyline race this year, as opposed to the O style event that we have done in recent years.
    This is a one off, we'll be back to the O event next year.
    13 miles, 2,000 feet of ascent over the Chew valley's rough and exposed moorland. Sunday 7th March.
    Entries are limited to 250

    i have a vague idea as most of my runs are up round there

    Oh there is a route change i belive
    Trying to plod up hills every day slightly faster than the day before

    Start near Dovestone Sailing Club (013133)
    Perimeter path around Dovestone Reservoir
    Flagged section at Binn Green to road crossing at 017045
    then checkpoints at,
    Alderman Summit 015045
    Broadstone Hill trig point 021069
    Shooting Butt 100m north of milestone 034061
    Ashway Stone 031042
    Featherbed Moss trig point 046011
    Alphin Pike trig point 003028
    Gate at 000033
    Then flagged section along path through the plantation to the finish in the field near Intake Farm

    I went round it a few weeks ago with the intention of doing the race,then realised what an awful route it is
