Lower car park was an ice rink yesterday (28/12/09) morning - "road closed" sign was up at start of road by caravan site, presumably to stop fools like me trying to go up there. Loggerheads, lower down, was fine though.

Ran from cilcain along to NO4 reservoir then up tp pass , along ridge to top of moel fammau then down direct route back to cilcain Very windy and snowing at the time , icy on the lower tracks (up to reservoir) soft snow not too deep on the ridge (wind probably blew it off), mayhave been more snow since ( was snowing wed in Mold).
Care needed on descent as some of the paths have snow over ice due to thaw running down the tracks then freezing. My lad ended up on his bum a couple of times on ice patches. Ok with care, or spikes. Really enjoyed run and there were a dozen people on the top. Are they all mad???

The snow must have all blown over to our side. I was struggling through 4 foot drifts yesterday just below the ridge on the west side.
