Wild Trails to Far Horizons. It was reprinted not too long ago.
I'm gonna get that cwazy gwouse...
And two (I think) of his sons did it as a relay quite recently as well. There's an account of it in a recent Fell Runner magazine that might make good reading.
Definitely worth a read, as we are looking at doing it as a non stop relay... Think it's time to search Amazon

Hi Phil.
As Margarine says the book is called 'Wlid Trails to far Horizons' and to me has one of the best introductions of any book. Mike puts into words what most of us feel about running in the wild - i.e what others don't understand.
I ran alongside Mark Cudahy for part of the Fellsman in 2002 and we chatted about stuff and things which passed away the miles.
Have you read Hugh Symmonds book abour running all the 3000' in Britain and all the miles in between?
No not read this one either Clive... Amazon is calling me... Thanks Guys !!!

Please forgive the blatant plug (it helps fund the website) but you might find this resource useful.
See under Fell Running/Other.
Going downhill fast - until I fell over
Hi Phil,
Hughs' book is called 'Running high - The first continuous traverse of the 303 mountains of Britain & Ireland'. He ran between every top and from Scotland to Lakes etc.

another good read is 'The Welsh Three Thousand Foot Challenges - A guide for Walkers and Hill Runners' by Roy Clayton and Ron Turnbull. It has stories and maps on Weksh 3000's, Paddy Buckley and the Dragons back race.
