    My Left Foot

I’ve had a bit of pain in my left foot for ages. When I’m moving around it’s fine, but if I sit with my feet up for a bit (especially kneeling or with my left foot tucked under) it hurts like buggery for the first few steps that I take before easing off again. Likewise the first few steps in the morning after getting out of bed. The back of my left knee is usually stiff at the same time, too.

The pain tends to be across the top of my foot roughly midway between my ankle and toes. I know I should go to the doctor, but being a bloke means I haven’t been bothered to yet.

Stretching and ankle rotations seem to make it sore in the short term, but help in the longer term.

Confusingly, I can’t point to anything in particular that caused it to start – it was just there all of a sudden.

    Any suggestions?
I have promises to keep and miles to go before I sleep.

Don't sit with your feet up.
