Collie flavour?
I'm gonna get that cwazy gwouse...
Arent they quite expensive though?
What about pasties/pies.
I remember, many years ago...when i was watching Blue Peter....one of the presenters did a massive run/walk/thingy aross darkmoor which the soilders have to complete to get their beret.
Im sure they ate some sort of pastie at the food stops
Bit late in this debate - but always struggled with eating too!
Didn't ever feel hungry or enjoyed eating during my bg - only thing i got down after leg two was gels, bananas & jellie babies. Eric Draper, when he realised i couldn't eat made me suck on jellie babies pretty much continuously... Worked well, as there was no 'effort' involved!
At stops i had soup or porridge and/or fruit smoothies (i never eat fruit, but had strange cravings for it!!)
Seperating drink & nutrition works better for me nowadays - ie. electrolytes (nuun) only in water instead of claggy carbohydrate drinks... Seems to result in more of an appetite.
I remember reading about Don Whillans and Chris Bonnington having the debate about food options that fit the "loads of calories - low weight - low volume" requirement, this was prior to a winter ascent of the Eiger N Face. Their conclusion was that a diet of Scotch Whisky and Sausages was the way to go
Any thoughts about whether this would set you up for a fast round?

funny things BGRs for cravings and dislikes it certainly muddles the thinking process. In addition to a fixation with Pot Noodles never rekindled since I craved almost endlessly a Dr Pepper all the way round from kirkFell. Couldnt get it out of my mind and it took on the proportion that a Dr Pepper would be the only thing that could save a flagging BGR. Next day I went to the garage in keswick bought a large bottle, had one sip and threw the rest away. Dont think i've had a DP since or even a yearning for one!
Thanks Britta, maybe it's a girl thing?! that's just it though, I never 'feel' hungry, think it will be a case of resorting to waiting to be reminded, perhaps there is a lot of unnecessary worry but I'm not particularly keen on the idea of feeling sick or vommiting all the way round
