Thought I resurrect the thread with a little info.

On leaving the pub quiet merry about 20 mins ago, I bumped into Chris Near and party, celebrating a 17:23 round. Any idea where that puts him on the fastest times board? Tim Higginbottom told me he has the fastest cumulative time for all the rounds.

Brilliant. I did leg 2 with him this morning and he was on a 17:40 schedule to be the fastest cumulative times. he was flying, I think we were close to, or just under 3 on leg 2 and it was hard going keeping up..

So 17:23 puts him comfortably inside Mark Hartells I think. They have joint Paddy times, but Chris did 3 hrs quicker on the Ramsay and Mark 2.5 hrs quicker on the BGR.

Wow, what an achievement. I'm in utter awe of anyone just managing to do the Bob Graham Round, but to do it in such a fast time is very, very impressive.

Could anyone pm me an electronic route of leg 3 please, any format, e.g. .gpx? (not the whole bg round).

    Many thanks

Isn't there one on Bobs website. If not PM me your Email address.

There are 3 big route choices on this leg though and you'll only get my version.

    Thanks IanD, brilliant resource.
Imported the whole round into memory map and then put the start and end CP's in using grid refs from the .txt file.
Steep start looking at the 3D version!

It is As you set off up from the Stile look up and left for a rock I think approx 100m the trod goes up from there. not so important yet but in three weeks the bracken will be out and it's not obvious,

If you need any of the route variations let me know
