Scottish Ultra marathon series

As these are, for the most part, not hill races I realise that this is slightly OT but it may interest some here. Thanks to a week of frenetic work by Murdo MacDonald (Highland Fling organiser) there is now a new Scottish ultra marathon series sponsored by Montane.

There are 9 races in the series and you need to complete 4 races to participate. Most are established races but two are new and one is back from the dead.

Entry to the series is free and there will be a post series ball (£5 per ticket) after the prize-giving.

Need to spend some more time going through these events but at first sight there are some interesting prospects here. (Racing the midgies down the Speyside Way sounds appealing - a great incentive to keep going and not to stop.....ever!)

Now, revisit plans for 2010? or sample Scottish pain?
