Arsene knows, and I'll happily keep backing him....

Roll on the 2nd leg. Nothing to fear if City perform like that again
    No but swings and roundabouts,

And by the way united are still a very good side

    Yeah, madness.

Mrs Noel's boss went to watch this and he's Villa fan. I reckon Mrs Noel should ask for a raise tomorrow.

    Arsenal 4 v Bolton 2
In Arsene we trust, although I'm not sure that it will last.
But love the fact they are top of the table.
Even for just a few days.

I don't expect an answer, BTW, just another soundbite..

United aren't a good team Iain. We didn't play well, yet we beat you with what probably wasn't even our reserve defence playing, and missing our current player of the season along with our 2 big strikers.

It was a doggy penalty decision and maybe without it we would be going to the ragery with it at one all. But for me we played in our own half to much with an obvious lack of support up front for most of the game. Our mid-field played so far back that we left ourselves more or less trapped in our own half for a lot of the game.

The annoying thing is that when we did go forward we looked better than you lot. But with the mid-field not moving up to support quick enough our options were few.

In all seriousness I am expecting a big improvement at the Ragery next time with a full squad lined out. If we take the game to you we will win; you are there for the taking.

Rubbish. We created far more chances. Rooney ripped through you like a knife through butter.

We didn't play brilliantly, but for a team who aren't good, we sit a head of you in the league...

The league never lies..that's why the league is the bread and butter. Everyone knows that, even the scousers, despite their 2005 CL win, they know the league is what matters before you can say you're the best team in England.

And being a good team is about playing in the right positions, not just when you get the ball..

and to go on about injuries...Look at the players we have out. Ferdinand, Vidic, Berbatov, Hargreaves, to just name a few. Come on you're having a laugh going on about injuries, straws mate straws and clutching...

Danbert, IainR, do I sense a friendly forfeit-based wager might be called for here?

    Sorry, I can't help stirring.
