I'm pretty sure our first ever match after relegation from the Premier League 20 years ago was Stockport away. We had 3 sides of the ground!

Was looking at Notts County last night... we played them in the 4th division playoff semi a few years back... amazing how the fortunes of the two clubs have differed so vastly since then... small margins... didn't they have that takeover and were going to be the new "superclub"

    Yes they were Travs.

Sven Goran Erikson and Sol Campbell turned out not to be the "dream team" !

RIP John Sillet. Gave Coventry City their greatest ever moment.

Truly a Cov man. Never forget him dancing with the Cup at Wembley in 1987. And almost as emotional was his passionate speech on local radio some years ago when the club looked like it was going out of business.

I remember this well. At the end of this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Paks-qbF-x8
there's the iconic moment when he's dancing about with the cup in front of the fans.

Yes that was a very good game.

We had an even better 4-3 against Spurs that season... big Cyrille Regis heading against the bar then heading in his own rebound for the winner.

Amazing that team was made of primarily of rejects from other clubs.

Then of course a decade later we stayed up by an absolute miracle at White Hart Lane on the last day of the season.

Cyrille Regis. A proper centre forward.

Affectionately known as one of the "Three Degrees" when he was at West Brom.

Imagine the kerfuffle nowadays that would cause, which reminds me of the scandalous way Big Ron Atkinson was treated, especially as he did more than anyone to further the cause of black footballers.

Cyrille Regis was indeed fantastic, a real midlands legend.

We sold him with much controversy to our rivals Villa in the early 90's. Of course, we played them last game of season needing a result to stay up, and Regis scored against us after 13 seconds! We were soundly thrashed (we'd never won at all in history at Villa Park until that great day in 1998).... Luckily Luton and Notts County couldn't produce a result either and we stayed up by a miracle (again!)

I don't suppose there are many on here who remember when Wolves were the best team in Europe - but there is one.

No, but most Wolves fan I've ever met are keen to let the world know about their great history. Any Huddersfield Town fans on here? Big in the 20s and the 30s you know.

Gee Noel. That is before even my time!

But let's get back to Wolves.
