Anyone done this race in the World Skyrunner Series?

I've been trying to work out how to get there. There doesn't seem to be an easy flight from the North of England to anywhere near the Basque Region.

Any suggestions from folk who have looked at, or done, this race?

could be mistaken but bmibaby used to fly MCR-Perpignan and ryanair might do Leeds-Montpellier?

there's a lady called Debbie who comes on here sometimes who set up a guesthouse with her husband in the pyrnenees - they wrote that piece in the fellrunner recently - they'll know.

A few elite runners had a three-minute penalty for not carrying a windproof jacket.

A bit late for this year (!) but I ran this a few years ago - a fantastic event, well organised and one of those events where you're likely to put on weight - the check points were so well stocked! I still can't believe I passed on the red wine at the finish! A great route through stunning scenery!
I found a comfortable agroturismo to stay in overlooking the village of Zegama; trains down the main valley from San Sebastian, then bus from Beasain I think.
I'm heading there again later this year, to explore some more of the hills, & was wondering if anyone could recommend any other accomodation in the Basque Country? Eskerrik asko.
