    Getting back into it

I've had about a year off proper training, just started back into it and my God it feels hard. Any suggestions, wise words?

Don't expect miracles; don't take on too much too soon; take heart from the progress you make, however slow; and mostly enjoy yourself: the views, the exhaustion, the friends...

    Welcome back Alf!
I feel your pain after having over a year off myself. I started back very slowly in June after major surgery last April and boy has it been hard.
But I'm getting there and you will too.
If your heart and your head are up for it then your body will obey even if it does hurt like mad!
Don't do too much too soon.
Enjoy and good luck in all your endeavours

    No, no, no...

First run back, 13 miles / 3,000' 2 weeks off and then second run back 14 miles / 6,000'.

    What can possibly go wrong??

    Everything :d

I am of the school of Dominion... Just go for it boldly! What can happen? I did Anni Waltz after 6 months of no running whatsoever... Then the day after I ran the Coldeale Horseshoe route as well... Mind you, my quads were screaming
