Don't expect miracles; don't take on too much too soon; take heart from the progress you make, however slow; and mostly enjoy yourself: the views, the exhaustion, the friends...

Welcome back Alf!
I feel your pain after having over a year off myself. I started back very slowly in June after major surgery last April and boy has it been hard.
But I'm getting there and you will too.
If your heart and your head are up for it then your body will obey even if it does hurt like mad!
Don't do too much too soon.
Enjoy and good luck in all your endeavours
