He came out of Intensive Care late yesterday and is back on the ward progressing well.

Yes I know what you mean, sometimes it's harder for the person left beind than the one poorly/recovering Make sure you get some 'me' time...you'll need it x

He may not have done 1.43 for 'The Ben' for quite a number of years due to his heart problems (and age) but he completed the 2009 3 peaks in 4hr 51 sec which most people would be proud of, but he was dissappointed.

Best wishes Martin and your 3 peaks time was faster than mine (as were 600 others faster than me)

Thanks for all your comments. I got back from hospital today - 7 days after surgery. I do not think I will be running for a few months yet and therefore have not entered the Ben. I will have to be careful about getting cuts an bruises so very easy descending from now.
