Lawrie, it took me 16 hours to get round recently, hobbling around on a dodgy foot. You could do the whole thing in daylight if you start at daybreak. Look out for the bracken covered downhill path soon after the start.

Did it in 13.5 hours back in April 2000. Started in the dark (05:33 hrs) and finished in the dark (19:30 hrs) though.

I am beginning to like to sound of this... shall have to do some homework and see about a recce sometime... maybe make it a "Sportsman (I used to live half a mile from there) to Langley" run... do-able but need to find the time... believe me, I'll need plenty of time!

... but I do like the sound of it

lantern - I might be doing some more recce'ing in late Nov/late Dec - let me know if you fancy coming along...

just to underline, and no apologies for repeating myself:

15 Trigs is a FANTASTIC ROUTE - probably the best conceived long distance route I've yet come across (apart from maybe UTMB )

Certainly fancy a go at it, but it's just finding the time Daz... let me know when you have a date and I'll try and sort something, but time tends to be tight.
