As I indicated in reply to XXXXX, the Greater Manchester AA Committee has made a decision to send Junior (U20) and Senior Teams to the Fell Running Championships.
As far as Greater Manchester AA is concerned this matter has been resolved

With all due respect, as far as the parents of junior (11-19 year old) fell runners are concerned, this matter is not resolved. I am curious to know why Greater Manchester AA Committee seem determined to prevent participation in fell running by young people? Is it just a lack of time/ volunteers or are the committee opposed to fell running by the 11-19 year old age group?

The Intercounties Fell Running Championship has U16 and U18 age categories - why are we not forwarding competitors for these age groups? I believe one parent has offered to help organise a GM junior (U18) championship and indeed pay for the medals if funding was the problem.

So is there some problem with junior fell running in Greater Manchester - which we can hopefully sort out, or is the committee opposed to it?
