Re: Trollers Trot - 3rd March

I'm realy pissed off reading your entries about Trollers - i was looking forward to it so much and had planned to inroduce my self to other forum contributors. Had bad stomach and felt sick - 2 day of this. In fact i set my alarm for 6am, but did'nt feel up to it.
Oh well - am now looking for my next long distance one

Tough Chris. I am looking at doing Blubberhouses on 1/4/07. very similar type route. A lot of runners though. I used to do it as a training run. Now it will be an all out effort to finish.

3:38 Ian , that is awesome. Did you beat Jeff Coulson, he looked to be going well early on. he must mid mid 50s now. Did you notice how many older ones were in the top 20 or 30.

ian, I know the organiser and I need to e-mail him over something else (he is the organiser of the LDWA 100 in Yorkshire-2008) so I will ask for the spreadsheet and put it on a web-site somewhere. Unless he is doing that himself of course.

Great day for it! Enjoyed it immensely

But it took me a full hour longer than the last time I did it in 2000 before all the injury problems

Chris, cheers but it would take me longer than 1 week to be fully recoverd for a 30 but I might do a 13-15 from home on Sat afternoon after I have played golf

I intend doing Blubberhouses (1/4) and the 3Peaks (29/4) and doing a long training run around some of the 3P course in early/mid April

    Hi JB
Thanks for chasing up the results,
I see Jeff came in about 4 minutes after me and 'Sheepdog' came in a couple of places in front

    trollers trot

Organiser of the TT (John Sparshatt) is after some extra help on the day, if anyone is currently 'laid up'. he has posted the below on the LDWA forum

'I am short of helpers on two early checkpoints at Winterburn Reservoir and Waddy Laith on the short route. Is there anyone out there who can help out please contact me om 01943 864 613. All I can promise is a cold day and some food at the venue. There are over 230 entrants so far with many more expected on the day.'
