Is there a specific route you should follow or is it just get yourself to the listed checkpoints asap?

I ask as there are a few places where the fastest way is tarmac but the more scenic way is off road.

There is no fixed route between checkpoints but where there is tarmac or a track, that is usually the fastest route. If you are not bothered about time then take the scenic route.

Do you regard waist-deep in bog as scenic?

I'll be looking to get out for some reccies over the next couple of months. If I can actually plan them in advance, I'll post on here!!

Cool cheers for that. Think 37 miles is enough without going the scenic route on top of that!

I've promise to do this one, I only hope I can recover in time for the following week and the PPP (and the DF)
