IA we can only go on the advice we receive at the time, most runners aren't experts so have to rely on the so called professional to get us back running.
I want advice not only from an expert but also from someone who knows what it's like to train and race.
Someone who knows the routines and determination that's involved in running.
Getting advice from someone who has just read the books or done the college courses is fine but having an empathy is as important.
I am A former Cumbria County runner, have been a level 4 UK athletics Coach for long distance running, Former post office northern cross country champion. Ranked in the top 6 in cumbria in 1989 for 10k, 10 years commpetitive running, Ist class times in the Kentmere & fairfield horseshoe fell races, Etc. So i do have the Empathy as well as having read the books, taught the subject & been on the Coal face

Most injuries are put up with or run through. Goes with the territory. There are two types of runer, those who are injured and those who are between injuries.

Get yourself a wobble board n get into a regular routine of using it.
I think it's worth you knowing Mr Injury Advice use to be a top runner, he trained and raced with some of the best so he does know what it's like to push yaself to be the best.
