9.5km with 300m. From the house up Bein Roishader. 62 minutes so quite pleased. Very boggy underfoot despite the recent good weather. Beautiful weather and saw a sea eagle so pretty good day. Followed up with an hour in gym.

    a 3 miler mostly on grass, at 8.30 a mile average after a 9 day lay-off.

Pain in balls of heels and down to middle toe of left foot since early April, so decided on a week off.

Felt better, although not quite 100%. Will ice and take a couple of ibuprofen and see what tomorrow brings.

Had a bit of a bimble around Langdale. Ticked off a couple of Wainwrights I'd not already bagged and some parts of Cumbria not frequented by many. It was lovely.

Cold Pike and lingmoor fell. I've walked/run past them many a time but never been up either. Always heading for bigger things I suppose.
The west side of the Crinkles, Mosedale and Lingcove Beck were interesting and so quiet. Didn't see another soul over there but there were obviously loads of walkers on the Crinkle Crags - Bowfell ridge.

Today's training was basically an AS style blast up Ullock Pike as I was in the North lakes and only had and hour to spare before heading home. Managed to beat my PB to the summit so quite chuffed with that.
I need to tot up figures but I think this will be the most running ascent I have managed in a month for well over a 2 or 3 years largely due to injury or cycling taking preference.

I “ticked off” Cold Pike a few weeks ago... very quiet area... and the Mosedale/Lincove area is certainly desolate...

    Great stuff!

Thanks to trips to the Lakes and North Wales, it's looking like May will be coming in at approximately 6500m ascent. I'm sure some of you do that in a week but living in the vertically challenged Midlands, I'm quite pleased with that (and even more so that the current crop of injuries have held up to a hammering!)

I've done my biggest week since I started running in Dec. In 7 days, 85km/3500m (95 and 4000m if I stop procrastinaing and run today!). All the tendonitis issues have finally calmed down, though something's wrong in my groin/thigh. Hurts at the start of a run, eases off, though seems to limit my stride. Physio next week (again...).

Another big week to come, then a taper for my 43k trail race. Hoping to do a 6h run on Sunday up to Aizkorri to see a bit of the race...

Crumbs!! June has arrived and everybody has stopped training! Just to add I managed a good but slow 14 miles and 5 ascents of Kinder on Saturday. All good apart from lack of endurance and painful ankle joint. Be back for more this coming Saturday and will aim to do a 3/4 peris horseshoe plus a swim in lake Padarn.

    I’m still here...!

Had a very slack 10 days or so due to illness and work commitments.

Got back to it last night but nothing spectacular.... halfway through today’s double session.
