What a terrible training run today...
It all started to go wrong when at 0330 I realised I had drank enough and the drinks had run out !! Hmmmm 0630 arrived to quick and up and at work - 1230 running, trying not to throw up and felt like I was wearing lead diving boots.
The 7.8 miles lasted forever - but it did clear my head !

... continuous effort - not strength or intelligence - is the key to unlocking our potential.
4 mile recovery run last night and off to track tonight for another club session. Should be fun.....

4.9m/900ft Hill Reps, double for the dog, a stark contrast between a furry long-legged bundle of energy and a bald short-legged bag of washing
Good fun though and a nice warm evening
Done 11m to work and back on bike as well, as always. Been there nearly a year now and only used the car for work once, that's cos it's not mine, it's the wife's!

Hills and Guinness!
3 mile run with 15 x 100ft hills reps in the middle. Need to find a bigger hill!
A 2 mile run > a tram ride > a 6 mile run into work - in and ready for another teaching day by 7.45am. It's the reverse journey that'll be more challenging. All because the car had to go in for a service. Mind you, the run along the Trans Pennine Trail was loads nicer than my usual crawl around the M60!

first run for 3 weeks due to gippy knee! Haven't been so pleased to complete a 7mile training run for a long time!! As yet no sign of a reaction to my knee injury so im well chuffed also wore a new pair of New Balance 101 trail shoes for the first, and I must say they felt brilliant. Trailly type run up dissused walkway and through woods, loved it
Well thursdays track session never happened as only 4 of us turned up, never mind. 2m warm up/down with Leeds parkrun in the middle today. PB'd in 17:49 and came 4th which was good on a slippery course. Anyone else there today? Can't wait for the Guisecliff Gallop next weekend for a proper race, parkruns are a good session but they're not exactly inspiring.
