great little race tonight over some horrific terrain.

a few forumites out, even took in the 2 trigs of the "Streak in the Peak" some very interesting route choices.....

Last nights training was a flat out 20 min run around the canal and footpaths followed by chest, back and legs at the gym. Quads were tender from Saturdays exploits.

A feeble 4 miles along the canal at lunchtime. Initiated rapid bowel movement due to 2 boiled eggs this morning. Way too hot to be running.

A steady 3mile with Ernie (the dog) just to run the soreness from Ambleside yesterday out of my muscles.

8.5 miles from Barden bridge up to Simon's seat, starting up the Wharfe towards Appletreewick and ascending through Howgill. Cracking day for it, had a good run up until the waterfall on the way back where a stone gave way beneath me and resulted in a fall and another badly sprained ankle. Last two miles back to the car were a bit testing....
