A soggy trundle up through the Dovvies Quarries, autumns in the air, great stuff :-)

Consider yourself lightly; consider the world deeply.
A super wet bogtrot around the full tour route on Pendle this morning/aft.
Didn't spot a single soul out there today.
45 mins on the cross trainer tonight with the resistance cranked up to full. Pretty hard work but I figure it should help my climbing as well as being easier on my recovering ankle than running

A gentle 6.5 mile over Black Hill and down to Crowden in 1:21. First trip out for nearly a month and enjojed the walk back!
1hr 45 mins across the moors above Darwen with Jamie and Neil.
Should have been about an hour, but Jamie knows theses moors like the back of his hand.......:w00t:
Still too heavy to run
Training run round the Three Shires, after a recce last week. Going great guns until I fell on the way down towards wrynose pass, and peeled my knee and shin on a boulder.
Many thanks to the Duke of Edinburgh support team who just happened to be parked there, and kindly bandaged me up.
Run then resumed along the road back to the van, too painful to consider Blisco and Lingmoor.

10ish miles over the hills with dog in Baregrips (me not the dog) Did see some grippy boot type things for dog's paws in Keswick though!!??
Hills and Guinness!
Really good day of distance and climbing... Up at 6 and ran dog (Pumpkin the spaniel...1...2..3.. aaahhh.... name not my idea) up and down Teggs Nose -- 600' of climb. Then leave Pumpkin at home... she'll not do more than 15 miles in one go.
Out with Dave from Macc to do first half of Bullock Smithy route (~25 miles and 5000' -- the bulk of the climbing is in the first half of the BS route).
Lift back to car; McDonald's to refuel (well, because I could!) and then back for trot up to Macc Forest and back via top of Teggs (perhaps another 1000') with Pumpkin.
Very satisfactory day all told....
Need to do one of these a month for the next few months on top of usual regime of distance and climb... and we'll see where that takes us.
How are the baregrips? Look like flip-flops to me
