Pretty much what I do Iain.
But without the racing, and the 90 mile weeks. And the dropping a stone in weight.

Finally made it out for a couple of trail miles this morning. I've lost my running routine for the time being. A run out in the hills this week might rekindle my love!

Tough session for me today, ran to work with rucksack then to my mate’s house to get a lift for training a very steady 13 miles, then at club training a 1 mile warm up followed by 6X1 mile reps with 2 minutes recovery between each one ran at 5:50 per minute pace. Then 1 mile cool down. 21 miles in total today.
Marathon training has started.

Thanks for the kind words of encouragement guys, in truth I have not done that particular training session for over a year. I was sticking to the long hill stuff and only really started doing the speed work again since October. last time I did it I would have been doing around 6:04 per mile. Yesterday was helped because there were 4 of us running together all pushing, although there is always one that lingers towards the back for 5 reps then on the last one he tries to blast ahead.
This week will be a hard week running, but next due to my shifts will be very easy.
I don’t think I could talk them into moving the Manchester Marathon forward to Sunday.

Good running Tahr.
Ive had a rubbish couple of weeks of training with sore medial knee ligaments. Next Wednesday I have a catheter alabation so god knows how long that will take out of my training.
