32 miles bike and a 4 mile off road run - with any luck I'll be fit for Fairfield.
Up in the Lakes for the weekend - did Coniston race on Saturday in virtually the same time I did on my first time 22 yrs ago. Hope I can do the same time in another 20 yrs when I'll be 70!!!
Today was just one of those good to be alive days when I did a circuit of Dow Crag and Coniston from Torver on a morning without a cloud in the sky. Saw lots of other runners doing their own thing - and also got a chance to do a proper recce of the Lakeland Fair descent from the top of the Old Man back to Torver - found the trod all the way - Brill!!!!!!!
5km race last night
then spent the entire morning this morning waiting for my mother to drop off the cat said she'd be here about half 8 and only just turned up tooo late for my run now grrgrrrggrrrr
Just out for 30mins or so to stretch the legs.... Bit of a shock all this fine weather - hard to believe!
5 miles off road, first run where i have felt good and enjoyed it since London, hope i can push on now
12 miles around Derwent valley taking in about 2,000ft of climbing.
Glorious running in shorts and vest, didn't see any one until I got back to the Valley.
Just by Margary Hill a shadow past so close I ducked, looked up and there was a Buzzard hovering about 15ft above my head on the thermals coming over the edge. I don't know whether he thought I wasn't long for this world or he was hoping I'd spook a grouse? Either way it was impressive.
Lucky devil!
You're a bit big to carry off though, no matter how big the buzzard.....
1 hour running
penguins happy feet :w00t:
