8.7 mile on Pex Hill tonight in fine drizzle great stuff.
Decided to give Oxenhope race (which would've been over in 30 mins) a miss in favour of an hour or so on Burley & Ilkley moors.
Route: Ebor way path from Burley Woodhead to Cow & Calf & Rocky Valley then up Ilkley Crag steps, down towards Lanshaw Lad across & down to High Lanshaw Dam & back via minor paths & Millenium Way.
A little breezy but mostly dry and bright despite a few dark clouds around -in fact perfect running weather
Just over half of the Kinder Dozen with IanDarkPeak. He went on to do the whole circuit (well done!), I bombed out after 7 ascents (I ran out of time & steam). 4 hrs and 6000ft + of climb....then 1 hour back to the car.....
90mins steady over Beamsley Beacon and part of next weekend's Round Hill fell race. Perfect running conditions and not a soul in sight
4 miles over bowland fells, Paddys Pole route. Fanastic late afternoon run. A little soreness in the calfs left over from Ingleborough to start with, felt fine afterwards thou
After a weekend spent in a car driving around South Yorkshire it was good to be on my feet again.
Yesterday was a 5 with 10x1min on/ 1min off in the second half. Felt good despite being very warm.
This morning was a nice recovery 4.

Is it meant to be this hard?
4 Miles staedy at lunchtime around the Tame Valley park
A nice easy 4.6 mile around Pex Hill this afternoon and quite warm as well.
Burton 10K last night, 47 minutes (I think, in my haste I forgot to start my garmin!). Nice undulating course in parts with a killer downhill to finish, my poor knees aren't used to that.
Times gradually improving which is encouraging....bring on those fells!
No pain no gain...if still no gain try more painkillers!
