Out in the dark this morning around The Chew, sun came up as I was heading through Dovestones Quarry, beautiful cloud formations out towards Blackhill, amazing colours, orange, deep reds....
....round the res's, through Plantation and home...1.01.51hr..

    Great run

Birmingham half tomorrow. Just deciding where to go for my six mile run this morning.
Hilly roads, convoluted figure of eight laps, windy night and a hard week at work Roadie Oh, combined with fact that I'm not a 2-17 (sorry if it's 2-11) marathon runner!!

I chuffing wish I was a 2.11 marathon runner. At the moment I am wondering how to run fast tomorrow at the half marathon in this strong wind we have.

30 mins from home in to Mossley and back via old power station. Windy in all directions. 5 x 1min efforts in the run as well.

It was a recce for a club headtorch run in a few weeks time Andi.
I mentioned the Gravy Pud race to Jane, the new landlady so she is expecting a call from you.

2 1/2 hrs in fierce wind this morning around Crowden, Holme Moss and Black Hill. All to myself (unsurprisingly) from an 8am start. Grim out on the tops, tough to stand up let alone make any headway.

It's on my places to visit to visit during the half term. (Thats the thing you used to get off every 7 weeks or so until you retired!)

1 hour 50 mins from Binn Green Car Park, followed the track up past the resers and hacked up to ravenstones, round to ashway gap and over to dovestones edge, dropped down from foxstone, went up wimberry and over to top chew res and followed the edges back round to thomas platt memorial then descended down to dovestones then back up to binn green

Was grim up there, had cag, gloves and my buff on and was still cold, that wind was very icy

    Re: Today's Training

Did my ankle in at the Relays last weekend & not ran since. Used a Nordic Ski/Stepper thing on Thursday & managed 40 mins on turbo-trainer today.

Ankle too sore to get up on my toes though .
I've just decided I don't trust you anymore.

1 hour 20 mins around the hills of the Ewden valley including hill intervals.

Very spooky in the trees with this wind, about 7 miles

Easy paced 4.5 miles road/towpath/woods/footpaths - into wind on return journey. Let's hope it eases for Withins tomorrow.
