    What a brilliant run....
Alphin to Wimberry....set off up the path/shoulder of Alphin, followed some footprints for about 50mtrs and that was it, nobody had ventured further....I cut a path through the snow and topped out at the trig in cloud, still no footprints....From trig to just before Wimberry I ran in cloud, a grey dark cloud with just enough moonlight filtering through to light up the snow, the snow and cloud blending into one playing tricks on the eyes.
Arrived at Wimberry headtorch on, spectacular sight the snow plastered Gritstone, couple more sets of footprints here, descent Plantation and home....Excellent.....Only my footprints from shoulder path of Alphin to Wimberry.1:19:48hr..
    A brilliant night, brilliant run

gentle wander up on to Bleaklow

Loads of snow, no paths or trods any where. I hope there's a thaw before this weekend.

Great hour out in the dark and snow up Weets. Neighbour shouted you're crazy as I set off; irony is that his Dad is Dennis Berisford, who used to run and bike some very long stuff a few years ago. Dennis would certainly not have thought a trot up Weets in a bit of snow is crazy. Anyway certainly enjoyed running through 6 inch of snow even up the hills. The virgin sow was a great surface and a good workout for my legs no doubt. Feet were a bit chilly!

Errrm, no Darren, not yet. Had half thought about a club speed session but the opportunity to run in the daylight presented itself (thanks to mum-in-law) so I took it and beat the snow flurries.

Tanky's on Sunday, a bit of a rest after that, but hope to start ramping things up a bit before the end of the year. It'll be a shock after doing 2-3 hour plods on the hills....

Recced last section of Tanky's this morning from the Snake Pass Inn to the drop down to Edale. Good run and walk! in the snow with just Black Grouse and Hares for company....feet up for the rest of the week till Sunday.

Could've done with some virgin sow (ooops snow) as I'm sure it was easier running than my half hour on freezing over 'slight dusting in parts' roads - at least I got out though
