4 steady miles up over Turton Moor-Ovenden on saturday...and no im not ducking this one!
Still too heavy to run
Out walking for an hour and a bit over the moors to recover the abandoned car from last nights ill planned session. That cleared my head a bit and I managed about 3 miles off road with my carefully taped up ankle, almost walked bits of it, think I should sleep more and drink less.
As I was less than happy with my performance in the Wymondham 10k this morning I decided to do the alternative session for those of our training group not racing as well this afternoon, although with shorter warm up and down and due to lack of light not on grass as advised.
10 minutes warm up
5 minutes (2 minutes jog recovery)
5 x 60 seconds (20 seconds jog recovery - 2 minutes jog after 5th effort)
4 minutes (2 minutes jog recovery)
4 x 60 seconds (20 seconds jog recovery - 2 minutes jog after 4th effort)
3 minutes (2 minutes jog recovery)
3 x 60 seconds (20 seconds jog recovery)
5 minutes warm down
Hoping for a far more successful 2009
10 miles on a rather frozen pendle...

Every day for a year !! I think about 8 weeks is as long a streak as I've put together.
Hoping for a far more successful 2009
Brisk un straight up Crookstone Knoll, wee loop about on top to look at the ravens, then death defying descent straight back down. Frozen as the arctic up Kinder, fantastic running conditions! 2.1miles to be exact! with 1000' of climb
Beats pounding round the roads any day
"Runners have coordination, skill, timing, fitness, and grace. Take a long, hard look in the mirror
Layby on Holmfirth Rd, Old PW to Black Shaw Res, hack over top of Diggle firing range towards Running Hill Pits and Cotton Famine Rd back to layby, 1:23:36hr medium paced, great run with great mates
Consider yourself lightly; consider the world deeply.
5 mile on the trails of Pex Hill this morning then disaster as I came off one of the trails on to the road I went straight over on my ankle. That was the end of today's run and I won't be doing any for the next few days at least? Got a bloody sore ankle now that I can't put any weight on.
At least I got 5 miles in.
