They where jelly as soon as i set off. I spent the first mile convincing myself i was going to do terrible.
They managed to hold up ok but where really tight and i was quite worried i might get cramp but i get at my pace and gradually passed runners one by one.

Well no, because i didnt drop my pace...
As for hot water -i had a hot cup of tea instead. I got up and didnt give myself enough time to eat before the run. (I cant eat 2 hours before i run or i get a stitch) so didnt have time for the hot water.
