Track session last night
Steady run in Pentland hills today...Scald Law, east and west Kip
Smashing run out from Rowlee Bridge up and about Kinder, most of it accompanied by Datt. Some 3 1/2 hrs, 4000ft and 14miles.
10 slow miles felt really nice, was very hungover
Steady, undulating 10 k on muddy woodland paths and parkland
19m/3894ft from Ripponden to Stoodley Pike and back, bit of rain but warm.
Got chased by cows in Cragg Vale and had to wade up a river to escape the nasty moo'ers, sick of this bullsh!t
Ban cows i say, or overturn them
Hills and Guinness!
Sounds like 'todays training' is turning into 'lets see how much alco we can drink training'!
In that case I can join in...the wine is open!
My training so far since Yvie was born is a total of 75 miles on the treadmill...'how boring' some of you might say...but you won't believe how good it feels to be just running again after having my emergency C-section I'm so lucky that me and my little pumpkin are ok.
I'm going for my first outing back to my playground in the Cleveland Hills in a few weeks time when hubby gets back from work....can't wait! Bet it rains! But do I care....no way...fresh air and freedom are calling me home! xxx
Only one who will risk going too far can possibly find out how far one can go. -T.S.Eliot
short race today
Hoppitts Hogbreath Hill Race. 3.5 miles with quite a bit of climbing with a lonnnngggggggg climb to the finish.
Felt esp hard due to the silly amounts of Bradfield Ale drunk by the competitors and the amount of pig that was consumed both last night and this morning. and then with only a couple of hours sleep.
Many Forumites there from Dark Peak and Penistone.
Although it was a fixed route the fogginess of some of the leaders minds meant there were a few route variations
A good way to clear the head
Well done To DarkHorse and his son who got a a family one, two.
And congratulations and well done to first Lady Nicky who conviently organised her wedding around the race
An extended exploration ex the new shed took me up the Limb Valley to near Ringinglow then towards Burbage Moor then across and down the Porter Valley....I think.....a few hundred yards from home I got lost only realising the error when I reached Endcliffe Park.
Was overtaken at one stage by a blonde goddess wearing Inov8s who a few hundred yards later held a gate open for me and stopped for a chat.
Honoured!
