long hard reps I love em.

stunning day, blue sky, clear and just a gentle breeze so decided not to train but go for a nice run instead.

Went up Cutgate, too nice to turn back so over to Outer Edge(Very Wet) down to tea plant, then to the 'mystery tree' direct to Mickledon pond and back. loved it

probably rest now untill the relays

    Re: Today's Training

am: 6 miles on the road, very warm

lunch: 1 hr of stretching, glut strengthening and core work

pm: 3.5 mile trail run, was a tempo run but nearly stood on a monster of a red bellied black snake after 0.3 miles. Shat myself! With the return route blocked it was a very very slow and cautious run around the rest of the loop.

Turns out these RBBS aren't too deadly, but the most common snake around here kills you in minutes, quicker if you try to move quickly, so on a solo bush run you're screwed if bitten.

Obviously in Aus at the moment..

    Re: Today's Training

Day off today, so early start for a hilly 5mi headtorcher round the lanes near me. They hadn't been gritted so was a bit lethal up and down the steep bits.

Day 2 week 2 of the burpees after that. Then a lovely walk with the dog and BH up Ogden Clough round the reservoirs. Not a soul to be seen; crisp, frosty grass underfoot; and some beautiful greens and oranges as the sun hit the hills.

All rounded off with a bacon and egg bap at the cabin.

FTOP in 3 hours dead, a full 36 mins or so quicker than in the race the other week.

    Defo recovering nicely

One of the best days I've seen out on the fells, fantastic views from absolute crystal clear, to low cloud and mist in the valleys, to cloud rushing off the side of the fell down to the bottom and pure white sun through the clouds. Amazing.
