    15 min slow
    comprising a mini 3-peaks run in Vienna Woods: Michaeler Berg (387m), Hameau (464m), Schafberg (390m).

    12kms with 350mtrs +/-

    50mins or so in hotel gym. Usual mix of treadmill (max ramp), stepper and bike (a recumbent number ). Enjoyed it in a strange perverse kind of way

    In the woods round Harlow Carr for 6.5 miles. Must be the volcanic ash, because I ran a PB by 40 secs, either that or the ground is dry.

    Was that a forumite purple camper van I saw on Penny Pot Lane? If not, there's a bemused VW owner round here wondering who the inanely waving runner is.

    Penny Pot Lane - now that brings back some memories from the late 80's ....

    Anyway todays training..

    A quick 5 miles - very boring and not special or interesting.

    Kris Akabusi ran there as a fresh-faced 16 year old in the 70s. Complete re-build in recent years, the triangular church and everything else has gone. R Signals?

    9.3 miles/1hr 30mins in the hills around n about Osmotherley. My first 'club' training session....OUCH!
