Good day out up the Lakes recceing leg 2 of the 3 Peaks yacht race. Whitehaven to Black Sail YH on the bike then run over into Wasdale and up Scafell and then back same way. 54 miles and around 7000' all told. Grand weather & company and a good bit of training.

Fast 5k on the treadmill early this morning, 2 miles training with my sons Cross Country club in the afternoon, followed by 8 miles over the moors in the evening. And a glass of red wine before bed, perfect.

6.5 miles at Swinsty and Fewston with some elderly gentlemen, followed by coffee, cakes and light-hearted banter in the drizzle. Oh, to be in England now that summer is here.

6 miles in the Tiger's Todger race last night, about 42 minutes. 2 mile gentle recovery jog with the mutt this morning. Not sure how much it's worked though as my calves are pretty stiff still... I guess that's to be expected as most of the descent in the race was on straight tarmac.
