I really did, yes. We covered the half marathon route. Great scenery and mix of terrain. The organiser of the race who'd organised the recce turned up, though had injured his arm, so we were led by a really nice guy called "JP" I think.

Yorshire day run with the club, Great fun visiting 4 aircraft wrecks and a bomb crater and the odd nip of whisky and sloe Gin.

19 of us and about 14 miles.

    Re: Today's Training

Had an excellent run last weekend up in Scotland. Started just outside Blair Atholl (Loch Moraig) and headed up over Carn Liath and Beinn A'Ghlo (Braigh Coire Chruinn-Bhalgain and Carn nan Gabhar), then back up over BCCB and followed the NE ridge down to Glen Tilt, down the glen for a few kilometres and then up the opposite side on to Carn a'Chlamain, off there following the SW ridge to drop back in to the glen and a long track/road section back in to Blair Atholl (not pleasant in X-Talons). Weather started ok, but by the time I'd got up high the clag was well and truly down. Rain and wind to boot. Not bad down in the glen, but it was stinking when I climbed back up... heavy rain and zero visibility. Good run though and, aside from the last stretch in to Blair Atholl, I saw one other person all day. 39.6k and 2220m climb in 6h11m.

Just back from a recovery 10.5 after completing the Gritstone anytime on Sunday. A nice skip over Holme Moss, Heyden, the Swordfish wreck, Soldiers Lump, Isle of Skye, Wessenden Valley, Deer Hill & home. 1000ft climb, 1:49 & one sore ankle.
