Rucksack run yesterday in the wind and rain ah the sign of things to come. Kettlewell, up Cam Head and up onto Gt Whernside back down to Kettlewell via Hag Dyke.

Brilliant navigational Night race tonight over Howden edge from the Strines in to celebrate young Toms 50th. About 20 teams out there in groups of 2-3.
8 miles 1200ft of tracks ,streams , rough steep heather bashing. 1.32 minutes

I paired up with Nicky for what was going to be a nice amble round midpack, Ended up first to every CP but just lost out to some faster runners after Nicky took a tumble. lovely moon lit night.

Shortish run this afternoon, racing the weather (and losing miserably!). Stanage North end across the moors to the South end of Bamford Edge, back along the length of Bamford Edge, across the rough to the stone circle and then back to the car via some nice sheep trods and a nasty bog or 2.

6 miles, 900 feet, 1 hour 10 minutes. The clag and drizzle arrived at the far point of the run so I got back to the car somewhat chilled and soggy... still an excellent run, and a good antidote to another day in the hospital.

    Re: Today's Training

Flat but rough route today, up on the moors between Emlin and Margery Hill. After a bit of searching, we found what's left of the wreckage of a Stirling training bomber which crashed in 1944. Then a pretty fast run back to the car. 7 miles, 600 feet, 1 hour 25 minutes (including at least 10 minutes of searching).
