7.5 miles 1250' Round the Reservoirs.

I wore my Gore Windstopper jacket on top of my HH and ran in shorts. I was warm as toast!
    No country for old men.

He's still walking, further investigation required.

    weirdly you know, I don't

after years battling a variety of aches and pains on a daily basis, it's a relief to be rid of them

I'm loving cycling, which is far far less harsh on the body

Just over 14 miles and around 3000ft up and down. From Wessendenhead up to BlackHill, Crowden Little Brook & Up Lawrence Edge and back. Saw a lost Brindle Lurcher, couldn't get to it. A bit sad really. Also saw a Buzzard by Sliddens Moss.

    Re: Today's Training

Did my first foray out today since the injury (8 weeks), on a 5k cross country training route from my house. 1k walk, 1k of 1min walk 1k run, 1k 1min walk 2min run, 1k 1min walk 3min run & finally 1k of 1min walk the rest run. The warm up I did though took longer than the doing the route lol. 30min massage, then 30min run drills and dynamic stretches.
Got home did 30min cool down then another 30min massage and ................ so far so good. Hip feels good :-)
Tomorrow is usual of 25k bike ride and 1hr swim. No running tomorrow!!
Patience is not my best asset but I'm going to give it a go :-)

First run as a dad today. Just a quick one, 4.5 km , two crosses of rivelin valley, 200m of height gain. 22minutes. That's 2.8 miles and 680' for those who are anti-metrication!
Felt good to be out, but wanted to be back with the little lad asap. . .

Get a backpack asap. It's great training. Those front loaders are good but they don't seem to be in them two minutes. You can get some great treks in with them in the back packs. Congratulations!
Tao begets one. One begets two. Two begets all things.
