13.5ish miles with Wooly today from Ashopton viaduct, Derwent Edge, and Back Tor, descended Abbey Brook via Cartledge Bents and Howden Dean almost to Derwent Resr,
then climbed back up Abbey Bank, passed Pike Low and down to Wellhead, reascended via the shelter at Grindle Clough to the top of Grainfoot Clough then traversed beneath Whinstone Lee before descending via Ladybower Tor and back to Ashopton.
A great day, simply beautiful weather conditions with a stunning sunset as we dropped off the end of Ladybower Tor.

Same here, very tiring breaking trail all the time. Need to get some kick wax too.

    Re: Today's Training

Sitting here in my tracksters and trying to steel myself to go out for a run. The house is gradually getting colder now the heating's gone off, and I'm not feeling particularly brave. It's started snowing. There's only a sprinkling on the ground though, and it's a lot warmer today - we're above zero for the first time in days (1 degree). Or should I switch to the cheese on toast thread...

Indeed not Multi. Weather is beautiful; 17 or 18degrees C in the day and sunny

    Re: Today's Training

20 miles along the Weaver and through Delamere Forest. I really enjoyed it once I could bring myself to leave the house. The weather turned to blue sky and a cold breeze after the snow shower. I took 15 minutes longer than last week for the same run - last week it was half frozen and easy to run on. Today it's frozen rock hard, with a thin cover of snow. My legs are feeling it as well. The Weaver Navigation is frozen right over for long stretches, with swans walking about on it. Cold though: I kept thermal top, fleece, gloves & buff on throughout. Now for that cheese on toast...

A bit more langlauf. Everything hurts, thighs, groin, shoulders, arthritic big toe. I'm sure it used to be easier in Norway.

10 hilly kilometers on the road around Strines and Ewden. First time I think i've worn mudclaws for road running but definately needed them, Only saw one proper landrover out and about with some straw in the back, he gave me a knowing nod as he crept passed me very slowly, also took a bivvy bag and extra clothes with me as if I'd have slipped and hurt my knee no one would be coming to get me soon,
