Can't beat a good home made pie. Steak and kidney, taylors landlord for the gravy and a bit of stilton rolled into the pastry. Doesn't get any better

No pies involved but I had an M&S £10 meal deal for 2 tonight to myself as I was very hungry supplemented with a large bag of Spar onion rings. Feel better now.

Reading this thread has made me aware of two things:

    i) I am very peckish

    ii) I didn't have tea!

I like the little beef pies you get from the famous bakers shop in Keswick (name escapes me)...Mmmmmmm....gawd I is hungry...Ade you could have saved some for me!

Been in Shanghai since early Tuesday. Going out for 'Western food' this evening. Is steak and kidney pie, chips, gravy and a pint of best bitter too much to ask for?

    Probably
On a family holiday years ago when I was about 12 and we were traveling down to the south of France in the car and we stopped at a roadside hotel/bar for lunch in a very small and quiet rural town. The waiter came to take the drinks orders and mi nan asked for half a Trophy . She couldn't understand why they didn't sell it bless her.
