    Went to Bavarian-style pub earlier and had a couple of half-litres of decent beer plus very good steak and chips No pies on menu mind

    Not bad not bad DT. Would've been better if they had wrapped it in pastry though I suppose.

    I had what could best be described as a 'deep fried pie-top' yesterday, with my dinner. Like a cross between a savoury Eccles cake without currants and a fried danish pastry. Quite pie-like and good fun to eat with chop-sticks

    Made a WWII 'Lord Woolton' Pie using rationed ingredients today including porridge as a thickener. Thought it would taste like si** but wasn't at all bad actually.
