It's got to be Auntie ain't it
Look! The Grump is melting!
This forum is no different to many others except it has far less fretting/troublemaking/navel gazing than most others. By the very nature of forum psychology it seems that little things get chewed on and blown out of all proportion. If you believe another forum I frequent, you would believe that one of the foremost manufacturers of sportscars now makes it engines from chocolate because a few have had a problem.
Now, as for fell running and its forum, I think it is a fine representation, with the obsessive compulsive self-introspection that seems to beset other athletic disciplines kept to a minimum.

We'll soon be redundant as a Forum anyway.
The new Trail Runner magazine is pitching itself in this way:
"Trail Runner caters very much for people new to the sport, who may not even have run before, or only run on roads. It also encourages and inspires intermediate trail run enthusiasts looking to improve their performance with the Training Zone, helps them find new places to run, check out the very latest running gear and races to aim for."
So either we fold this right now and all go to the pub for a consolation pint or three.....
Or we make it compulsory for anybody new wanting to join this Forum that they have read at least 3 editions of Trail Runner
Which is it going to be? Scrapheap, or raise the bar to keep the standard high?
