    Kinder Downfall Recce

I'm planning on doing a kinder downfall recce a week tomorrow (thurs 15th) if anyone wants to join I'm planning on being away from Hayfield at about half 9ish. I don't really want to start much later as I've got to pick the nipper up from nursery.

If anyone wants to join me let me know.

I can't make the race, so would like to give the route a go - any chance of meeting on the route, as it'd be easier for me to park at snake pass summit and then run along the pennine way to where it meets the route?

Paul a nicer start is Snake Inn and run up Ashup Clough to the fingerpost on the race route. Also gives a nice finish. No paving stones.

I surprised Swoop and Co last year (2008?) on the DF recce

    Running tonight from Strines?

Sounds fair, I'd be guessing to reach that point at about quarter past ten, possibly sooner if I can get away earlier, I'll confirm the time nearer the day.

Thinking of doing a reccy but not sure what the route is these days. I seem to remember the route going west of Edale Rocks and Swines Back last time ( 3yrs ago). Anyone know what it will be this year or what it was last year? Thanks
Here's to the laid back fell runner...

I was assuming it was this route:

That's as i understand it Paul. Well that's what i recce'd over the easter break. Did it from edale.

I see graeme's not going to do it thursday now. If your still keen give me a shout (PM or on [email protected]) as i'd be keen. Doesn't have to be the kinder route but keen to get out thursday AM somewhere. I'm in sheffield (so are you as i remember reading somewhere) so can meet and go out to peak?

    Cheers,

    Glen
